Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026

Modern Stack Labs LLC (“Modern Stack Labs”, “we”, “us”) is an AI and automation studio based in Union County, North Carolina, serving small businesses across North Carolina and South Carolina.

This policy explains what we collect through modernstacklabs.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only. It does not cover the systems we build and run for our clients, which are covered in section 9.

1. What we collect

What you give us. When you submit our contact form or book a call, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name, which service you are interested in, and whatever you write in your message.

What we collect automatically. Standard request information: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the page that referred you. We also record the UTM parameters, referring URL, and landing page from your first visit, stored in your browser, so that if you do get in touch we know how you found us.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card details, or sensitive categories of personal information through this site. Please do not send them to us in a message.

2. How we use it

If you tick the box asking for occasional tips and updates, we will send you those as well. You can opt out whenever you like, and we will not add you to a marketing list without you asking.

  • To reply to your enquiry and put together a proposal
  • To contact you by email or phone about the thing you contacted us about
  • To schedule and hold discovery calls
  • To operate, secure, and improve this site
  • To keep ordinary business records
  • To comply with the law

3. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

We do share it with the service providers listed in section 4, who process it on our behalf; with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to; with a successor if this business is ever sold or reorganised; and with anyone else you ask us to.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of outside services to run this site and handle your enquiry. Each one may use your information only to provide its service to us, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.

  • Website hosting, which serves this site and keeps standard request and server logs
  • Database hosting, where your enquiry is stored
  • Workflow automation, which receives a copy of your enquiry so that we are notified and can follow it up
  • Scheduling, which powers the booking calendar (see section 5)

We screen our forms for automated submissions using a hidden field on the form itself. That check runs on our own systems and does not involve a third-party bot-screening service.

If you have a question about how your information is handled, email us and we will answer it.

5. Booking a call

The booking calendar on our contact page is provided by a third-party scheduling service and embedded in our site, which means it loads that provider's code in your browser.

What you enter into it — your name, email address, the time you pick, and anything you type — goes to that scheduling provider as well as to us.

6. Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

We do not currently run third-party analytics, advertising, or session-recording tools on this site. If that changes, we will name the tool here before we switch it on.

This site uses cookies and similar browser storage only for things it needs to work: spam protection, the booking flow, and remembering how you found us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working if you do.

Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how a website should answer one, and we do not currently respond to it. We do not track you across other websites either way.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client information for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to you, deliver our services, keep business records, resolve disputes, and meet our legal obligations. We do not currently operate a fixed deletion schedule for enquiries.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. This site is served over HTTPS, our database requires authentication, and access is limited to people who need it.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it. Please do not send us anything highly sensitive through a web form or by email.

9. Work we do for clients

When we build or run a website, automation, chat agent, or voice agent for a client, we handle that client's customer information on the client's instructions and for their purposes, not ours.

That information is governed by our client's own privacy policy, not this one. If you are a customer of a business we work with and you want to know how your information is handled, please contact that business directly.

10. Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing email. Email hello@modernstacklabs.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights over your personal information. We will honour those requests regardless of where you live. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

11. Children

This site is intended for business audiences. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Links to other sites

We link to websites we do not control. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will say so on the site rather than quietly swapping the text.
